The Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract for the provision of consultancy services for water and wastewater supply with an estimated value of £181,339 (ex VAT).

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation, which is part of MOD, went out to tender with the contract to meet its need for specialist assistance in drafting parts of the Statement of Requirements (SoR) relating to water and wastewater technical requirements.
The aim is to obtain expert assistance in defining the technical specifications for water and wastewater services, likely related to government infrastructure projects.
DIO has awarded the contract to Arcadis Consulting (UK) Ltd, one of five companies in the bidding for the work.
DIO, on behalf of MOD, is currently in the process of early market engagement activity in advance of its upcoming £3.12 billion (inc VAT) water and wastewater services programme procurement to replace the existing multi billion pound Aquatrine Defence Water Services Programme (DWSP).
DIO has this week invited interested suppliers to register their interest in attending an Industry Day for the upcoming £3.12 billion programme taking place at Villa Park in Birmingham on 14th October - deadline to request an invitation to attend must be done no later than 5.00pm on Monday 15th September.
